Today the ‘Maria Holl’ restaurant is located in what was once the historic wing of the monastery church. Built in the 12th century, the area where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served is a real architectural highlight. The wooden ceiling and walls tell ancient stories. The interior is understated, but complements the look of the room perfectly. You will not fail to notice the ornate windows with round arches and the wooden ceiling beams, on which old night watchman-style lamps hang that are reminiscent of days gone by. In the morning, you can enjoy an extensive and healthy breakfast buffet. The Restaurant Nördlingen serves local and international dishes.
Cheers – a change of perspective is desired
The rustic Tarantel Bar adjoins the Restaurant Nördlingen. You can either take a seat at the wooden bar on bar stools made of wood and leather or you can look for another cosy place. Enjoy your drink with a view of the action behind the bar or of the Tändelmarkt square with the Tändelbrunnen fountain. In summer, additional tables are set up outside.
Summer terrace: enjoy a drink al fresco
Don’t you think that drinks taste even better on a summer terrace? Even though the Tarantel Bar is very atmospheric, the outdoor ambience always gives the occasion a pleasant casual flair. The shaded area can of course also be rented for private events. The drinks don’t have far to go, as there is a bar right next to it.
